Gay-Straight Alliance Allowed To Meet At Yulee High

Title: GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE ALLOWED TO MEET AT YULEE HIGH
Two Yulee High School students were “grateful” Monday when they learned that a federal judge ruled that the Gay-Straight Alliance can meet on campus and have the same privileges as other student groups.
U.S. District Judge Henry Lee Adams issued a permanent injunction Friday that the district can’t make the group change its name or interfere with its ability to “advocate for tolerance, respect and equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.”
Adams also ordered that the district can not retaliate against any students or school staff involved in the legal action or with the group.

And why should this be news? I would think it should be news if they weren't allowed to meet, but I also don't understand (or care, really) why other peoples' sexuality matters to those whom it doesn't effect - i.e. If you don't like it, then don't do it! What DOES matter is that all citizens are afforded basic civil rights, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, marital status, nationality, whether or not they have tattoos, if they have blue eyes, or any other stupid reason to discriminate.

Hey, I salute these brave souls. That is tough work. They have stood up and walked the mile.
Still, it's hard to calculate the damage to one's 'rep' (that still matters) should a straight man show up at one of these shindigs.
Might catch few pagans, though. What they need to do is lay out freshly slaughtered goat, lamb, and turtle meat. That's the ticket.
