Voodoo Priestess From Blythewood Hired To Kill?

Author: Lee Higgins Source: The State (SC)

Title: VOODOO PRIESTESS FROM BLYTHEWOOD HIRED TO KILL?
High voodoo priestess George Ann Mills prays the gods will cleanse a Georgia woman who she says asked her to perform a death ritual on a political opponent.
Cobb County, Ga., Commissioner Annette Kesting asked Mills to cause the death of longtime political rival Woody Thompson, Cobb County police said.
Mills, who lives in the Blythewood area, refused to perform the “death ritual” but did perform others intended to help Kesting’s family and financial situation, she said. After checks for payment she received from Kesting bounced, Mills reported the incident to Cobb County police, she said.

That poor Priestess! The Atlanta news treated her a little better than the reports of what SC did but she was still portrayed as something of a "wacko".
Ms. Mills didn't report any problems until the checks bounded. Why would she have? It probably wasn't the first time she'd had to explain that Voudon doesn't kill. She was simply reporting non-payment for services rendered.
And then you begin to wonder about the commissioner when you hear things like this:

Why did she wait until after the checks bounced to report this? She didn't have to deposit the checks to show them as proof, since she had them in the first place. Having the signature verified would have been an easy matter for the police.

I admire George Ann Mills' resolve to practice in a positive way. This is very important, and she was brave to bring this to the attention of authorities. I add my positive intentions to hers to work for the good of all, according to free will.

When a check somebody wrote to me bounces, my credit union mails it back to me with a note of explaination. I assume the priestess has the bounced checks so verifying the facts should be a simple matter. What I find curious is that she didn't report this until after the checks bounced.

So, instead of "Out-Christianing" one another (ala McSame and OhBother) , we now have out-hexing!
It's too bad that England was so keen on the EU and then backed out at the last minute, forcing all other nations to bear the brunt of the financial backwash, else I'd say enough is enough and move to Germany!
Yeah, they're economically in the toilet. But to quote a friend of mine, they've been in the toilet for a long time now, so at least they're STEADY!
Seriously, though...this is just the foot in the door for the forthcoming "War on Christmas" debacle, starting with the "EEEEEEEEEEEEvils" of Halloween that are sure to come this year in earnest. We've already had two "Witch burnings" (or attempts thereof by some deranged lunatics in the Midwest) ...
Um...yeah. Welcome to JesusLand.
And Christ weeps yet again.

Dang, politics is getting really nasty. Instead of mud slinging they hire Voodoo people to hex and curse their political opponents.
Would that be classified as campaign research? So if the offering was a goat or a chicken like in Santaria, would that be reported as campaign funding?
Oh I get it. Instead of actually discussing, oh, I dunno, the ISSUES, they resort to outhexing their competition.
So would this outhexing be, ahem, outsoucing? OutSOURCERing?
I realize politics is pretty lowdown but Mojo is No- Joe.

I watched my local coverage on this story and they may as well have made it news of the weird. This poor woman was edited to look like a fool and they were so disrespectful! Just because it's October doesn't mean this is a Halloween piece. They were blatantly disrespectful of her, when she was actually very composed and sweet.
