Gay Activists Protest Hate Speech

Title: GAY ACTIVISTS PROTEST HATE SPEECH
Chris Love said everyone has the right to freedom of speech, but temperatures in the 80s were too hot for hate Saturday afternoon as he and about 150 other gay-rights activists marched at Gage Park to oppose the message of Westboro Baptist Church.
“They have the right to free speech,” Love said of Westboro members, “but there’s a lot more of us than there are of them.”
Love, who organized the march, said he picked the Gage Park location because it is the same place Westboro leader and anti-gay preacher Fred Phelps began staging his protests in 1991.
