For the proprietors of Some Enchanted Evening, a boutique specializing in Wiccan and New Age items, Halloween is the perfect night for some pagan persuasion.
Festivities will include a costume contest, table-tipping in the style of 19th-century mediums, and perhaps looking to the cards to determine what the new year will bring.
No, we don’t have our holidays mixed up.
Halloween’s origins lie in, among other things, ancient observances of the calendar, when folks back in the day – way back in the day -- believed the veneer between this world and the next was thin enough for those on either side to pop on over for a visit.
