The daughter of Laurie Cabot, Salem's "official witch," is now wanted on a warrant after defaulting in a court case in which she's accused of stealing money from her mother.
Jody Cabot, 49, who now lives in Hull, was supposed to appear in Salem District Court yesterday for a status hearing in her case, which involves charges of larceny and forgery dating to 2007.

I'm not a big fan of Cabot. The sideshow never seems to end. Everytime she ends up in the news it somehow manages to make us look crazy, greedy, or like trash. Whether she is trying to corner the market on fortunetelling in her territory or airing dirty family laundry it always reflects badly on us.

I have a lot of respect for Laurie Cabot.
She's been through an awful lot, and she's one of the strongest people out there. But this sort of thing wounds a mother's heart in a way that grief from outsiders can never do.
