Forefathers Set Insightful Path Through Religious Thickets

Author: Bob Zembower Source: Cumberland Times-News (MD)

Title: FOREFATHERS SET INSIGHTFUL PATH THROUGH RELIGIOUS THICKETS
As Christians, we should be proud to live in a country that challenges us to be our best, and to maintain our beliefs in difficult times. I believe Jesus Christ wanted converts, not conscripts. Like it or not, our country was settled by people looking to escape Christianity. The Quakers, the Puritans, the Amish, all Christian groups, came here to escape persecution from other Christian groups.
The Founding Fathers recognized this ability for humans, regardless of religion, to seek personal benefit, to fear change, to persecute diversity, and they looked at the historical record of murder and devastation in the name of our Gods.

This was an excellent piece - I wish more Christians felt and practiced as the writer does.
However, there is one factual error - the Supreme Court is not 100% Christian. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer are Jewish. According to adherents.com, there have been seven Jewish justices, beginning with Louis D. Brandeis in 1916.

"One of the strongest validations of our system is that our Supreme Court, composed of both men and women, 100 percent Christian, 100 percent (as far as we know) heterosexuals, 100 percent parents and grandparents, and 100 percent Americans, can still look past their personal lives and try to make decisions using guidelines that were not fully understood when they were written over 200 years ago."
The Supreme Court has interpreted the Constitution as giving the Supreme Court the right to interpret the Constitution, which it does as a Theocratic Priesthood.
It is the 14th Amendment which gives us the right to worship Odin or San Francisco in the states of Pennsylvania and Utah; the First Amendment accords the individual states the rights to legislate Religion. This makes more sense, when you recognize Medicine as a Ministry, which really requires a Church, or other Circle, to practice effectively.
I've to work out the relations of Circles, Universities, Guilds and Insurance Coverage, so that our Economy can live, and our Constitution be appreciated as a Monument.
Properly, it's been noticed that our national traditions are Masonic, and that these, and Wicca, are closer to what Jesus described than those Indoctrination Houses, which are seen as erections in his name.

Yes. And from the looks of things they may have to run away again!!
