FireStorms Mystical Emporium Specializes In Wiccan Items

Author: Marianne Van Eenenaam   Source: The Muskegon Chronicle (MI)

Title: FIRESTORMS MYSTICAL EMPORIUM SPECIALIZES IN WICCAN ITEMS

FireStorms Mystical Emporium is perhaps the most unusual shop in this area. It is one of a group of small businesses lined up in a row on Clay Avenue in downtown Muskegon.

FireStorms is easily recognized by the glittering, colored glass pieces hanging in the window and by the geodes studded with clusters of brilliant purple amethysts on the window sill.

Inside there is a vast selection of "gifts for the mind, body and spirit," their business card claims.

There are baskets of polished stones, crystals, shelves of incense, handmade soaps with names such as earth spirit, dragon protector and green man. Here are fragrant candles, "lotions and potions" to treat the body's ills, jars of dried herbs and flowers, oils, bags of runes and tarot cards useful for transmitting messages or looking into the future.

Thank you for the feedback. We completly understand your opinion. You have to also understand that we were told this article was to be about the business, but the reporter wanted to talk about the faith. Being that we live in a pretty closed minded community, we wanted to be careful on what was said. Also,
there were several things that were mistaken,
taken out of context, or the quote incomplete.
But over all, we have had a very positive response to the article and no-one has come in to hassle us so far. So here's for breaking down barriers, one step at a time
!!
Bright Blessings,

...More misinformation.

The 'witch label associated with Wicca' is not because (as the article quotes FireStorms' co-owner) of an association with forests and such, but because until the late 80's we didn't call ourselves Wiccans, we called ourselves Witches - - and that's what we were and still are!
