First Green Cemetery To Be Established In Central Mo.

Author: Boonville Daily News Source: Boonville Daily News (MO)

Title: FIRST GREEN CEMETERY TO BE ESTABLISHED IN CENTRAL MO.
Ozark Avalon Church of Nature filed initial documents with the Cooper County Recorder’s office to create the first natural burial cemetery in central Missouri on Oct. 31. The cemetery will be located on the church’s property in eastern Cooper County, on Cumberland Church Road.
The date of the filing was chosen because it is the actual time of Samhain, the Wiccan holiday honoring the beloved dead.

Sounds nice to me, and a lot more natural than being filled with icky chemicals, locked in some overpriced box and interred in an even more overpriced box.

...the switch from the industrialized Piscean age into the more agrarian Aquarian age.
Took bloody well long enough! :-)
Many years ago, I had begun giving thought to what I would like when it's my turn to shuffle off this mortal coil. This is just the type of thing that came to mind (well, that or being set adrift in a longboat and having a single flaming arrow shot onto the oil-soaked planks, but that's definitely NOT environmentally sound, nor legal anywhere around North America that I'm aware of) .
I was told that embalming was required by law, that graves must be lined with concrete vaults and sealed...so to see that this view is now changing, that green cemeteries will soon be a reality makes me happy.
Yes, the memorial plot is for the living - a place that they may visit to remember you - but to return to the earth naturally, as was intended...
Now if only Texas could get a few of these!

Ahr-Ohn (Bridgeport, Connecticut) - Email Me

I know some states, out that way, don't feel it's Christian, to allow Moslems to die, without the Blessings of Anubis. This became a problem, when our military was training some Mohammedan Aviators, with the usual incidence of Mishap.
If I recall the story of Hamlet, a joker by the name of Yorick was having his grave recycled.
Zoroastrians ought not be so finicky, as to which carrion birds perform their rites. I think some traditional american cultures use similar methods.
The Art of Embalming, was originaly so any man with virgin granddaughters could help them with their studies of WitchCraft, and remain active in the day to day life of his family. The ministry might be a christian thing to do, but not an obligation.
A Cannon, they should have, and a place for the unsuspecting to smell the roses...
