Title: EXPERT ON HERBS WAS AHEAD OF HIS TIME
An interest in herbs and using them for medicine and food earned him questions and strange looks years ago, but not nowadays, Bob Liebert says.
Better known as creator and proprietor of Teter Creek Herbs, Liebert says interest in herbs is considerably more widespread and accepted than when he got interested in useful plants.
"I've been doing this for almost 30 years," Liebert said. "When I first got into it, people thought it was witchcraft or something people did in the past. Now, everybody uses it."
So much so that the business he started on his farm near Ava now distributes herbs and tinctures through a variety of health food stores in the region, along with the Internet.
