Mississippi House OKs Ten Commandments, Other Phrases In Public

Author: WorldNetDaily.com   Source: WorldNetDaily.com

Title: BILL TO ALLOW RELIGIOUS TEXTS PASSES

The Mississippi House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday that allows for the posting of religious texts in public, including the Ten Commandments, the national motto "In God We Trust" and pronouncements from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount known as "The Beatitudes."

In 2001, Mississippi passed the first state law in the U.S. that requires its public schools post the motto "In God We Trust."

The action by the House comes just days after the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases regarding the public display of the Ten Commandments.

part of the problem is the outcry that arises when any other religion tries to have the same right.

That is the main issue behind all the problems. I tried to create a display in my school during xmas, explaining yule and its origins. My principle told me no, and threatened to suspend me if I pushed it.

It is this kind of superiority that must be destroyed. Bring the uppity snobs down!

"The Mississippi House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday that allows for the posting of religious texts in public..."

*sarcasticly bright smile* Right then! So I guess that law means that *any* religion has the right to post text from their faith. Any moment now, we'll get to see the Five Pillars of Islam and the Buddha's Four Noble Truths...and hey! How about the Rede!

I can't wait to see what happens when someone has the guts to post a non-Christian tenet, backed up with the wording of this new law as their permission. The sparks will be visible here in the Midwest.

Separation of Church and State will look a lot more comfy then won't it? Heheheh...

"I hope God forgives us for using his name for political gain."

Should be "I hope we'll be forgiven..."

Will this be the Douey or Jacobian Beatitudes?

"Congress shall pass establish no religion, such as Football..."
