A Saining! A Blessing!

Title: A SAINING! A BLESSING!
We met tonight to do a saining for our young friend who had a birthday yesterday and so today is her year-and-a-day. This day is often chosen for a naming day and a saining (though sainings can be done soon after a child's birth--often at the following new Moon).
The weather was cool, a little breezy, rain before and after. Perfect, with a little thunder. Good omens all.
Wiccans and some witches (and often Pagans and Heathens) choose to take a ceremonial name. One reason is for anonymity, another to help create a sense of being a different person from the everyday one.

A nice little blog. I enjoyed reading it.
I see ol' Shocky's still up to his old tricks. I guess he gave up with youtube and decided to take his ranting to poor innocent bloggers. Oh well *rolls eyes*
