These witches don't fly around on broomsticks. They don't have green faces riddled with warts that have their own warts. And they don't brew potions with frogs' legs, moose blood, ogre hair and the tears of a gypsy.
In fact, adorned in jeans and a sweater and slacks and a long-sleeve shirt, Jess Baribault, 30, and Kevin Sartoris, 46, look a lot like your everyday teacher and creative director of an ad agency, perhaps because they are.
But make no mistake about it – Baribault and Sartoris are witches.
They practice Wicca, a nature-based religion stemming back to the pre-Christian Paganism of Europe. And on Saturday, the two invite people from all over New England to attend the second annual Celebrate Samhain festival with themselves and other practicing witches.
