With a lot of people cutting back in this tough economy, more and more people are looking to psychics for answers, reports CBS station WCBS-TV in New York City.
Fahrusha is a psychic in the East Village and her clients' questions have turned from love and family to money and jobs. "As of September I've been getting many, many more questions: 'Will I keep my job?' And in the last three or four weeks people have been coming who have in fact lost their jobs."

I hate these buzz-words. We're in a recession, so call it what it is. We've been in a recession for over a year now. In fact, on the same page as this article is a link to another article that states exactly this. Continuing to categorize it using the phrase-of-the-day will only continue to lead people along by the nose and into a greater financial crisis if they don't start preparing like they should have done last year!
Why do you think people who normally wouldn't go to a psychic are now doing so? They're troubled, they're at wit's end, they want answers and the government, banks, lending institutions and their employers aren't giving out any.
Okay, mini-rant over.

People seek comfort in the oddest of places.
I believe that most go, not because they really need answers, since they may already be aware of those answers-- but rather at least, for a little encouragment that things might get better later on. It helps to hope for luck at a later date if things aren't going so well at the moment.
