Nazi−Era ‘Runes’ Put Local Authorities On Alert

Author: Thomas Tracy Source: Yournabe.com (NY)

Title: NAZI−ERA ‘RUNES’ PUT LOCAL AUTHORITIES ON ALERT
Police said that they are investigating the strange Nazi and runic graffiti in the hopes of tracking down who’s leaving the coded messages — most recently on the pedestrian foot bridge on East 14th Street and Shore Parkway back on May 13.
Members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force are on the case, although sources said that the graffiti could not be considered “bias” because it wasn’t solely directed to any ethnic group.
According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the graffiti is linked to Guido von List and his peculiar runic alphabet.
“[The alphabet] is not something most racist skinheads and neo- Nazis generally would be familiar with,” an ADL spokesperson said. “Though some Nazis were inspired by List, he was not the main source of their fascination with neo-paganism.”
“One can speculate that these items were created by someone interested in the occult, paganism, or secret societies, rather than someone who was an anti-Semite,” the spokesperson said.

I've got a few books on Hitler's end-of-war-occultism. Even before he realized Germany was going to lose, Hitler had a Norse theme mixed with the Roman power theme. Grand patriotic festivals, lavish costumes and props. Old pics look like they are straight from Las Vegas. The German futhark was what I could recognize on banners and such as I'm no authority.

Nazi-era? The runes were around long before the thirties and forties ever had that Hitler gleam in their eyes. While it was true that they used many of them, they too ceased to understand many of the real uses of the Runes in their zeal to create a new German state. But that "D" was not a German rune. There are sadly, many kooks and nutcases running around these days pretending to be scarier than they are. And the media is very little help seemingly preferring to fan the flames than seek out the truth.

Whoever put up this graffiti knows nothing about the runes. They are using a Wunjo/inverted Laguz bindrune for an E instead of Ehwaz, inverting Laguz to look more like an L and Uruz to look more like a U. There are Anglo Saxon runes present and a "D" which appears in no Germanic or Scandinavian alphabet whatsoever. "D" in these alphabets is represented by the Dagaz rune which is not present.
The spelling indicates a person who wanted English and/or German speaking people to recognize what was written as "Triumph of the Will" or "Triumph Des Willens", but in the runic alphabet it's actually complete nonsense, it actually says "TRIHA ?WLS EAILLWLIYS".
Basically some cluetard, and I do mean CLUETARD, just wanted to scare people.

You know the thing about a lie being true if it's repeated often enough? The whole "Nazis were Pagan" thing is a blatant, thoroughly-disproven lie that the ADL has obviously bought. They should try reading Hitler's own writings to see where his religious allegiance truly lies (HINT: The Germans were famous for sacking this city in 410CE) .

From what little was presented in this article it sems the only two points they kept hammering home was "Nazi" and connections to Pagans.
Why is it that anytime something distasteful or "evil" by societies standards pops up that automatically the Pagan community gets blamed for it?
I wish the media would find another scapegoat for things like this besides the Pagan community. We have enough PR problems without things like this.
