Okla. Team Gives Away Biblical Bobbleheads

Author: AP Source: ABC News (US)

Title: OKLA. TEAM GIVES AWAY BIBLICAL BOBBLEHEADS
He delivered his people from bondage and through 40 years in the wilderness. Now Moses has become a key part of a five-game baseball homestand.
The Tulsa Drillers planned to hand out 1,500 Moses bobbleheads on Friday night. The bobblehead, complete with tablets representing the Ten Commandments, was part of a faith and family night sponsored by Oklahoma Wesleyan University and a Christian radio station.
"The bobblehead craze is still out there," said Brian Carroll, spokesman for the Double-A ballclub. "We'll probably draw two kinds of people for the game, the Moses fans and the bobblehead collectors."
"The faith and family night is really a growing phenomena in minor-league baseball," Carroll said.

If they made Bobbleheads of the current set of preachers and Administration shouldn't the put a little bunch of rocks in the heads so they can rattle just like they do in real life?

So this is a fad, right? Hey, as long as I'm allowed to refuse without any onus on me, I couldn't care less. Of course if it actually parts traffic on the way home-- then you've really got something there!

I believe this is a case of clever marketing.
At first I was disgusted but when I thought about it, how would I feel if the baseball team were having a Pagan Night Out version?
I found my righteous indignation evaporate.
If we are all interconnected and what truely affects one affects all, how can I fault some families having some fun surrounded by others of their own beliefs.
As long as it is advertised before-hand so some unsuspecting Pagan, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc doesn't get blindsided, or non-Christians are not refused service, and they're not generating a "let's go get' em" mob mentality towards non-Christians, I'm cool with it.
Besides, I wonder if the John-the-Baptist one's head pops off. (I told this one to my Christian wife and she laughed so I figured it wasn't too tacky) .
peace, samhain
