Corpse Thefts Linked To Occult Ritual

Author: Dave Schratwieser Source: Fox 29 News (PA)

Title: CORPSE THEFTS LINKED TO OCCULT RITUAL
The discovery of human remains in a trash-strewn lot leads to charges against two teenagers accused of taking them from a local cemetery crypt.
Detectives believe the remains were about to be sold to be used in an occult ritual.
Those two teenage brothers are charged with grave desecration, criminal conspiracy, abuse of corpse and criminal mischief. Police say this bizarre incident was tied to the occult and the black market sale of human remains, reported Fox 29's Dave Schratwieser.
Captain Ditchkofsky says one of the brothers is involved in the occult, specifically "Santeria.” He says the boys apparently planned to sell the skulls and bones to a still unidentified third suspect.

I've never felt the slightest bit of morbid curiosity about the tombs of others. Nor have I ever entertained the notion of desecrating the graves and/or religious traditions of others to garner such items. It is foul behavior and deserves appropriate punishment. Some might say you cannot disrespect the dead. I'm not so arrogant as to assume this to be true.
There are legal ways to get skulls, misc. bones, and nearly anything else you can think of. For this reason alone, there can be no excuse. More to the point, items obtained in such a way are unlikely to have much value or "juice."

They break out the ol' scare quotes when naming a religion they've never heard of before. Personally, I wonder if "Christianity" is going to take any heat for allowing the storage of human remains in vaults that just anyone can walk into.
(While I don't condone disturbing anybody's grave, seriously, who hasn't felt the morbid temptation to open one of those up and take a look inside?)

'"You think there's a place you can go and be in peace and that didn't happen here," says Ditchkofsky.'
Dead people don't "go" anywhere. Their spirits might go somewhere, but almost certainly not anywhere on this plane. Their remains, the ones that their family paid to have stuck in some box, almost as certainly do not care about "peace", or anything else.
