Alliance Policy Offered As Pray Solution

Author: David Williams Source: Anderson Independent Mail (SC)

Title: ALLIANCE POLICY OFFERED AS PRAY SOLUTION
The Oconee County Council is once again reviewing it policy of prayers in meetings.
Council members are considering a six-page resolution from the Shreveport, La.-based Alliance Defense Fund that outlines a meeting prayer policy. The not-for-profit legal alliance has urged the County Council to ignore demands from the American Civil Liberties Union that the council end its practice of holding prayers in public meetings.
The Alliance and a staff of 23 attorneys helped draw up the proposed prayer policy. Part of the policy says prayer would not be listed or recognized as an agenda item and the prayer would be voluntarily delivered by an eligible member of the clergy in Oconee County.

I wonder how many non-Christian 'eligible' members of 'the clergy' there are in Oconee County.
Talk about stacking the deck. *sing* Onward Christian soldiers.... marching off to war....
You will be assimilated.... convert or die.... this is a Christian nation and all that. Can't have 'outsiders' coming in and having the LAW enforced in Oconee County. As God fearing people they are obviously above the law and want to keep it that way.
700,000 $$$ ? Wow, How many homeless people could THAT feed?
