South Dakota Lawmakers Mull Outlawing Abortion

Title: SOUTH DAKOTA LAWMAKERS MULL OUTLAWING ABORTION
Lawmakers here are preparing to vote on a bill that would outlaw nearly all abortions in South Dakota, a measure that could become the most sweeping ban approved by any state in more than a decade, those on both sides of the abortion debate say.
If the bill passes a divided Senate in a vote expected today, and is signed by Gov. Michael Rounds, a Republican who opposes abortion, advocates of abortion rights have pledged to immediately challenge it in court -- and that is precisely what the bill's supporters have in mind.
Optimistic about the new additions to the U.S. Supreme Court, some abortion opponents say they have new hope that a court fight over a ban in South Dakota could lead to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made abortion legal around the country.

We already have well over six billion people on this planet. There are now multitudes of children living in slums in South and Central America, there are those being starved in the streets in Africa and both Japan and China are overcrowded. Our own cities have gang violence, drugs and homeless people by the thousands--- and they want to outlaw abortion?
The more people that crowd the planet, the more likely it will be that domestic violence, mental problems, more Pandemics and Wars will occur. In fact, "likely" is far too optimistic a term as it is obvious that they will occur. There are already large patches of Ocean that are no longer supporting much life at all and the land is already being stretched to the limit. Even the very air we breathe is already polluted and threatens us with global warming and even greater catastrophes to come. While there are large patches of the world that have no one living there- it is because they cannot support human existence. And what land there was- now not being farmed, has become fouled and despoiled by the waste of industry or paved over for roads and housing. Fresh water is becoming a premium and soon wars will be fought -not for oil or gold, but for the most basic commodities of life.
While I do not condone abortion as a catch all, it is vital to consider the outcome of blindly following the edict "go forth and multiply". Whenever animals have overbred, especially in areas where there were too few natural enemies, it turned into disaster- not only for those plagued with the excess surplus, but also for those that have overbred. It is our responsibility to curb ourselves, and to learn it fast-- because it is becoming obvious that Nature is already taking steps to do that for us-- and unlike Humanity- she doesn't play favorites.
Life is only worth living, when it possesses quality more than quantity. A baby may be the hope of the future-- but only if it can be assured that it will have a good present life- and the better life that the parents hope it will be able to live. Abortion may not be the best answer to this kind of trouble, but it is a solution of the least regrets- because it does insure that those children who emerge are wanted, loved- healthy and have room to breath without running into overly numerous others that for some reason- weren't nearly as welcomed, but were created because someone decided it was a good idea, without taking the consequences into account.

And I wounder HOW they would feel if a bunch of WOMEN told them they couldn't have an abortion if they needed or wanted one, and couldn't get access to birth control. The whole situation is ludicruous......

Imposition of Incorporation, under the 14th, where all Constitutional Prohibitions of Federal Law are extended unto State Law, are an arbitrarily applied arbitrary decision. The Supreme Court only has the power to interpret The Constitution by their own arbitrary decision. This is supposed to be a Republic of Free and Independant States, rather than an Empire of Subject Provinces, and Roe v Wade was a direct violation of the 10th Amendment.
Further, regard the Drug Laws, which regulate the Treatment Physicians may deliver unto Patients, and you'll see that SCotUS protections of Abortion are entirely spurious. Whether a challenge will sustain depends on whether SCotUS will follow Law or Precedent.
Abortion should be treated as Cosmetic Surgery, at least, but is more a Physician Assisted Suicide, if we consider the Mother's Power of Attourney.
