Near Stadium, Cowboys Have A New Rival: Satan

Author: Bud Kennedy   Source: Star-Telegram (TX)

Title: NEAR STADIUM, COWBOYS HAVE A NEW RIVAL: SATAN

A wee bit o’ Scotland has come to the outskirts of Cowboys Stadium, and with it a foggy auld controversy over whether a Scottish sculpture park is also a pagan shrine that might hex the Dallas Cowboys.

City leaders and the family of late philanthropist Jane Mathes Kelton gathered Thursday to rededicate Caelum Moor, a former $3 million corporate sculpture park now relocated as public art along the bonny banks of Johnson Creek.

The same day, nursing home chaplain Michael Tummillo of Stephenville posted on a Web site: "Occultic landmark resurrected near home of the Dallas Cowboys." He warned Arlington about a "demonic backlash."

that self -righteous "America's team", wouldn't be a bad idea, except that it kind of would defeat the whole football game concept.

Go Pack

Ahh, Texas. You're home to such lovely displays of religious understanding. Just ask the Branch Davidians (Koresh was actually negotiating for his surrender when the ATF tanked their way into his compound) or the Pagans who were at Ft. Hood 10 years ago.

And the Venus deMilo is dedicated to child pornography and represents the so-called "Fertility Goddess".

If you believe that one, too, I have a sea-side cottage to sell you -- in downtown Dixie valley, Nevada.

there is an unnatural, and stupid force, behind the cowboys scores. Its called Jerry Jones. He needs to realize he isnt a good manager, get players who have chemistry instead of raw talent, and stop being a tool.

As for those complaining, what did Jesus say about their neighbors? What about all those good lessons he taught?

Btw, GO STEELERS!

Sorry, couldnt resist either!

Thank you Norman Hines, for enduring the yay-hoo "eedjits, in order to see this tremendous work of art restored locally and to a rightful place of prominence.
I personally can't wait to get over there with my camera!

This article appears to depict one issue that could justify government intervention.

The actions of the rabid fundie pastors in this article present probable cause to investigate for likely child abuse by out of control psychotics. It's not a religious or parental right to stunt child development by subjecting kids to the practices typical of such kooks.

the so-called- worry is pure hogwash. It looks a little different to be sure, but there is nothing "satanic" about any of it. If the dallas cowboys are so worried that they might be hexed, then I have a solution. Learn to play better football and worry about the markings on their own scoreboard. As for the complaining Evangelists in the area, they need to be rebaptised in one of the fonts in the men's room. It won't change the stupidity, but at least, they'll get a good facewashing out of it, especially when it flushes.
I wouldn't mind seeing Caelum Moor here.
