Satan Behind Illegal Immigration, Utah County Republican Claims

Author: Todd Hollingshead Source: The Salt Lake Tribune (UT)

Title: SATAN BEHIND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, UTAH COUNTY REPUBLICAN CLAIMS
A Utah County Republican delegate may not be catching hell for calling illegal immigration a satanic plot, but he isn't gaining any converts, either.
Utah County GOP Chairwoman Marian Monnahan says District 65 Chairman Don Larsen's resolution - asserting that illegal immigration is the devil's plan to destroy the nation by "stealth invasion" - "in no way" is endorsed by the Republican Party.
"It's just free speech," Monnahan said Thursday. "It's Don's right to do that."
Party faithful will get the chance to discuss Larsen's resolution Saturday at the county's GOP convention. Monnahan notes Larsen, not the party, paid to print and distribute 1,300 copies of it for the gathering.

Since when did devoutly Catholic people (probably the only ones who actually obey all of the Church's teachings) and are willing to take all of the crummy jobs that no American wants become spawns of the Devil? The guy who had said this (in public, no less) is a freak and I can't imagine why he was even nominated, let alone elected. As for his belief that "America must fall" in order for Satan to take over the world, somehow I missed that in Revelations and anywhere else in the Bible. As much as Christian skeptics like to debunk Nostradamus for writing Hitler's name as "Hister", there is no remote reference to America in the Bible once so ever, none, zip. No tales of the kingdom across the sea, no tales of the "Land of the Eagle", nothing. So why then do so many people insist that this is the new "Holy Land" and that America's unquestioned obedience to fundamentalist Christianity is vital to keeping "Satan" at bay (who, by the way, I do agree with another poster that in both Christianity and Islam, but especially in Evangelical Christianity, Satan does take on just about as many powers as a God and if you read the Book of Job it seems that he and God are good buddies, making wagers on men's lives like regular blokes do on football matches. Lovely, non?) Anyway, you have to laugh at that Southpark episode that showed the actual beliefs behind the Mormon faith. It's unfreaking believable. It so funny that they're now getting laughed out of England with their nonsense and pseudohistory.

How some who claim to be Christian put so much power into the one they call "Satan".
I actually wonder whom it is that they are actually worshipping.

What does the mayor of Inglis, FL have to say about this? Does her town have an illegal immigration problem, considering that she cast out that christian deity by mayoral proclamation?
