Teacher By Day, Psychic By Night

Author: Catherine Amos   Source: Culpeper Star Exponent (VA)

Title: TEACHER BY DAY, PSYCHIC BY NIGHT

About a half dozen teens handed out fliers warning of “the stronghold of divination and involvement with the occult, witchcraft and counterfeit gifts,” outside the Depot Tuesday night.

A tall man with gray hair wearing pressed chinos, a navy polo and a black lanyard around his neck eyed the group before returning inside where about 15 people sat in blue plastic chairs.

The tall man was Richard Lassiter, a graphic design teacher at both Culpeper and Eastern View high schools, and he was preparing to lecture. But this lecture was not about graphic design. Lassiter, 62, co-founded the Balanced Living Institute with Melissa Kitto, and the two lead workshops and seminars worldwide to help people explore their “psychic gifts.”

My Mom Sep 22nd. at 9:22:39 am EDT

Ellen (East Hartford, Connecticut) - Email Me

My Mom was a 3rd grade public school teacher for more than 35 years. She was very much into the psychic fields in her private hours. She was even an ordained minister in a Spiritualist church. Even though she never outwardly preached to the kids, she handled disputes and "kiddie ethic" questions by asking the children if it felt right and how did it make them feel inside. She had one exercise the kids did. the kids were told to close their eyes and imagine a calm and peaceful emotion, then open their eyes and draw it on a circular piece of paper. Drawing mandelas. She retired 15 years ago. She was the kookie teacher that had an open classroom (long before it was accepted) . But the kids kept visiting her long after they had left her school. She even had the children of some of her students! And the parents were her biggest supporters years afterwards.

So It can be done and I wish this teacher as much success as my Mom did!

An ESP Club in a public school?? Supprised this has not drawn the FUNDY PATROL down upon this teacher. Hopefully, he can keep doing what he's been doing. Sounds like my kind of teacher.
