Faith-Healing Bill In Works

Author: Jeff Starck Source: Wausau Daily Herald

Title: FAITH-HEALING BILL IN WORKS
A second Wisconsin legislator is promoting a bill that would repeal a section of the state's child-neglect statute that provides an exemption for those who rely upon prayer to heal.
The state's religious exemption law has gotten attention the past year since reckless homicide charges were filed against Dale and Leilani Neumann. Prosecutors say the Weston couple ignored their 11-year-old daughter's diabetes and chose to pray for her recovery rather than seek medical treatment. Madeline Kara Neumann died March 23, 2008, from complications of her disease.
Leilani Neumann was convicted last week -- her husband awaits a July trial -- but is expected to appeal the verdict, likely on the grounds that Wisconsin laws conflict with one another on the issue.

At least, it doesn't work at all when it is the only "medicine" used.
Another way to look at this subject: Which is more right, allowing parents to depend only on prayer to heal a sick or injured child -- or requiring those same parents to use EVERY effective tool available to keep that child alive and healthy?
It has already been proven many millions of times over that prayer alone does not heal people of their illnesses. If it did, Modern medicine would consist of prayer books and "laying on of hands".
That kid from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota - the one with Hodgkin's Lymphoma... His tumor grew in size because the "natural healing method used by certain Indian tribes" just doesn't cure cancer. Neither did the prayer and "faith healing" his parents put him through.
It speaks volumes that the "evil and nasty" Modern medicine is what is actually saving that 13-year old "medicine man's" life.
Rule Number Two: "Try To Understand Things".

Appearently, there's a law, that it's not child neglect to see a faith healler, for your child, rather than a representative of the AMA, but there's a homicide code that does not extend this protection.
If the parents did not want to pay, for this weird materialist medicine, was the state willing to do so, with guarantee that the treatment would not be damaging to child or birth community?
Who has the right to make decisions with regards an unemancipant? The Parents have some right by Creation. Does the state have some authority by right of Taxation?
Who has Faith in Materialist Medicine?
It seems a tad rough, for the State to be casting blame, after a couple's kid's just died.
