Christian Law Firm To Defend Harrison BOE (‘Jesus Potrait’)

Title: CHRISTIAN LAW FIRM TO DEFEND HARRISON BOE
A national Christian law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases will defend the Harrison County School Board in a constitutional struggle over the “Jesus Portrait” at Bridgeport High School.
By a 4-1 vote Friday, the school board agreed to have the Alliance Defense Fund represent it for free in a pending federal lawsuit.
Two parents sued the board earlier this summer. They claim the board has ignored their complaints for years. By exhibiting the portrait for decades outside the principal’s office, the board and school officials are endorsing Christianity over other religions, they argue.
The display is government sponsorship and preferment of a religion, something that violates the establishment clause of the First Amendment, their lawyers claim.

Looks like there's another case building up. No state money should go to schools that choose to represent themselves (even if for free) with religious organizations.

If we were ramming statues of Athena down their throat, they'd be screaming religious preference. These people are such hypocrits. You want a picture of Jesus taken down, and that censorship. But, torching Harry Potter books is just fine.

Actually, the Constitution is being used by the "fundie" majority to complain over those that merely seek the very same rights that they enjoy.

All these things do is continue the rift between Christianity and the rest of the world. I feel the constitution should be upheld, but I just don't know anymore. And this is just the beginning of more battles to come. The crusaders are going to continue their conquering at all cost. I don't know if they can be stopped, except maybe by the fanatical corps of muslims. Either way we're bound to get steamrolled.
