Update: Inscription Removed; Jesus Portrait Suit Debated

Author: Gabe Gutierrez   Source: State Journal (WV)

Title: INSCRIPTION REMOVED; SUIT DEBATED

An inscription on a mirror mentioning Jesus has been removed from Bridgeport High School. Meanwhile the Harrison County School Board still debates fighting the lawsuit.

The Jesus portrait lawsuit still isn't over. Last week the school board decided to take steps to have that lawsuit dismissed. But the two civil liberties groups that filed the suit have a series of demands.

At its meeting Tuesday night, the board will get its first look at that proposal.

Nice Pic Online Sep 7th. at 2:02:39 pm EDT

There is a nice picture, taken by AP photographer Bob Shaw, of the hallway at the school when the Jesus picture was still on the wall, before it was stolen. Go to the additional link I have provided that will take you to the picture on the Post-Gazette site.

If the principal and school board have half a brain between them all, they'll keep the mirror up and taken down the inscription.

Then they can go back to the small town obscurity that they miss.

blessed be,

Here's What You Do Sep 6th. at 6:10:54 pm EDT

Have a group of the kids who attend that school, once a week, approach the principal or the vice-principal with something that endorses some other religion and demand that it be placed up with that mirror.

If the endorsement of one religion is troubling people, then why not even the battlefield and demand that ALL religions are equally endorsed.

Give them Buddha statues, a dai qi, a painting of Brahma, a shrine to Amaterasu, a representation of Thor's Hammer, a Pentacle, the Eye of Ra (and/or the Eye of Horus) , whatever symbol Satanism uses these days, a hot dog bun (for the Discordians) , the Star of David, "Allah" written in Arabic, a horse for Epona, a Medicine Wheel.

Have them do this every week until EVERY religion is equally represented alongside Christianity. If removal of the painting/mirror is problematic, then solve the issue by going on the other direction. Hell, include a blank space for those who are atheist, or mystic.

Within a VERY short time after the lawsuit is dropped, after extensive money has already been spent, the mirror -- or something equally similar in tone/content, will mysteriously appear in its place.

This will force more money to be spent re-opening a case that probably never should have been shut to begin with, especially since the case can't actually be re-opened but must be filed all over again, with the entailing evidence gathering, research, document prep, filing fees, etc.

Good and now lets keep the inscription off.
