Help! I Can't Log In. (or stay logged in - OR am I NOT receiving my password)
The Witchvox Log in system sets a temporary 'Session cookie' to assure that you and only you are creating/editing listings in your name - Your web browser must be able to accept this session cookie for you to log in and work with your account. If not you will log in and immediately get tossed back to the failed log in page... There are a few things you may need to check/ or adjust to help you 'GET IN".
Important Variables to Check...
- Make sure you are typing in your exact log in information - NO SPACES... DO KNOW that you can have a NEW Password sent to you (click here). The ONLY password that will work is the Latest One sent.
- Adjust your browser to 'accept cookies' by either turning them on OR adjusting your 'privacy' slider (see details below)
- In the 'per site privacy action' settings (in your web browser's internet options / privacy tab - click the 'edit button') you may have to add www.witchvox.com
- A third tip is to 'delete cookies' to clear things up.
- And finally... If you just aren't receiving your password in email ... Check IMPORTANT Notes for Hotmail/MSN Email Addresses Click HERE
IMPORTANT: If you discover any other variables that help you to log in do let us know so we can add it here.
Adjusting YOUR Web browser to accept cookies.
Overview: Your browser needs to be set to accept cookies, which are small pieces of software that store your Web preferences. Please try the following:
If you are using Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers, get instructions on how to accept cookies. For any other type of browser, click "Help" on your
browser's task bar to find out how to change this setting.
If your browser is set to accept cookies and you are still receiving this message, you'll need to delete old cookies from your computer. This will
allow you to accept new cookies.
If your browser is old, you may need to upgrade to a newer browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.
Instructions for Handling Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are "remembered" by your Web browser. Witchvox uses cookies to identify if you are already authenticated on the Witchvox customer Web site. In order for cookies to work, your browser preferences must be properly set. Instructions for the most

2005 Problems: Mary Anne shares... "I have found that the McAfee Security Center must be disabled in the 'privacy service' section before I can logon to Witchvox, Divine Design, etc. Have no idea why, just know it works. I'd have to go in and see what my setting are but it may have something to do with cookies in that McAfee overrides the Tools settings. "
Also worth noting is that if you install Windows Service Pack 2 it will shut you out of many things... You may want to find your 'firewall settings' and allow a few things.
Another problem is Norton 'internet security' - This comes loaded on many new computers and by default locks you out of many sites including TWV. You will want to fiddle with this program to get it to allow cookies.
If your computer can not set a cookie you can't log in to Witchvox and zillions of other sites on the net.
