Sex Fiend Robin Fletcher A High Risk

Author: Elissa Hunt Source: Herald Sun (AU)

Title: SEX FIEND ROBIN FLETCHER A HIGH RISK
Evil sex witch Robin Fletcher has vowed never to change his ways despite asking a court for his freedom.
The egomaniac sex offender is no longer behind bars but can't roam free thanks to a strict court order aimed at protecting the community.
Fletcher, 53, tried to keep details of his court case secret including the fact that an expert rates him a high risk of reoffending. But the Herald Sun successfully fought the suppression order in the Supreme Court, with Justice Philip Cummins declaring the public had a right to know.
Fletcher served 10 years' jail for sex crimes against two 15-year-old girls, but maintained the acts were just a part of his Wiccan religion.

was the fist thing to come to mind when I read the line "Fletcher served 10 years' jail for sex crimes against two 15-year-old girls, but maintained the acts were just a part of his Wiccan religion. " I have to say good job to the reporter for not making this about religion and focusing on the real story.
This guy and all like him should be locked away from society for life. At least as some have noted he admits he will not change his ways but what good does that do, if there is no way to protect the next little girl or woman who crosses his path when no one is looking. And wouldn't it cost less and save some future victim if he could just be kept in jail? There need to be harsher laws to protect society from people like this who not only admit that they will do it again but seem to be bragging about it.
Just my opinion.

to see this cretin neutered without anesthetic, but I don't think that would even stop him. He turns my stomach. He is a public menace that should never be let out.

there isn't a legal way to neutralize his habits while allowing him out. Since he hasn't changed anything about his practices, and has publicly stated he has no intention ever to do so, he will continue to be a danger to others, since he will eventually find a way to see to his obsession despite all attempts to watch him. It will be the victims, as always to pay the price for his freedom as nothing will be done to prevent anything and justfication--if any-- will only come after they catch him at it--again. He is nothing but a predatory deviant-no matter what he calls himself, but the only good thing, at least, is that he is honest in stating his intentions. Many aren't.

for denoting "his version of Wicca" where possible.
It pisses me off when people use religion in an attempt to flaunt their own pathetic needs. Send this gentleman over to a prison in the States. I'm sure he'll learn real quick about true sexual deviancy.

Why give this psycho any special play? There are far worse Borderlines and other DSM-qualified types hiding behind both mainstream and minority religions, who need to be handled as individual problems, and do not define the larger religions.
Another article linked from this one at the paper's site does have some significant public policy issues that need to be better addressed:
[Web LINK]
Interesting concept of "green discounts" by businesses, even if this paper might not promote them absent the legalized brothel industry.
The bigger policy issue the US is seriously lagging over is that mala prohibita, the "victimless crime" class, inherently causes illegal discrimination, and needs to be eradicated. That includes most laws regulating choices of sex, "nudity", drug access, speech content, etc.
When Germany legalized its brothel industry, an interesting consequence arose. Unemployment recipients found their benefits subject to termination if they were given a job offer by a brothel, and refused it. Neutral enforcement of that kind of policy makes sense, and in a less bigotry driven society, would be clearly the same kind of issue as a Muslim in a hog rendering plant, or some medical professionals having trouble dealing in fertility management services or products.

He's completed his sentence, and I'm not sure the court has jurisdiction to extend that sentence, on the say so of some Psychiatrists, or other fortune teller wannabes. Honestly, these people should have no greater legal authority than an eight year old girl like Cassandra.
The question of Religious Freedom is another issue, since he's trying to negotiate dowry rights, often in conflict with those with the Right of Creation. Someone should remember, that our Penitent Monestaries are charitable institutions, which have spared many from being beaten to death, less than they deserved.
I wouldn't object to a small army of virgins myself, soon as I hit the Powerball, but to cut your disciples away from their birth and environmental communities is a way of diminishing our holy spheres of influence, and such instincts should be milked for the greater wisdom, rather than the lesser.
