This is an old story...there is no new news here. One article claims he is a Druid another article a Wiccan. Regardless, he represents neither path as a practitioner of either faith would know, or anyone that has studied either religion will know. The Rev. Sparrowhawk (Yakima, Washington) - Email Me People like Fletcher are the primary reason we do background checks on everyone who is interested in attending our study groups or Circles. We have had to kick people out of our study groups and our coven, because we discovered that they were either hiding the fact that they had committed a sex crime, or they turned out to be perverted child molesters that had never been convicted before. For the latter, background checks do not help much. That is when referrals come into play. We can't keep them out of Pagan Pride Festivals, though. So, if you are attending an open public Pagan event (or, any other public event, for that matter) , keep a close eye on your children. ) O ( |

But before they are convicted, they will have victimized 50 people. In my 2nd degree classes, my students were required to read Dr. Anna Salters's seminal work "Predators: Pedophiles, Rapists, and Other Sex Offenders: Who They Are, How They Operate, and How We Can Protect Ourselves and Our Children." In accordance with Dr. Salters's own recommendation, we all skipped the chapter on sadists. I highly recommend the book; I also recommend skipping the chapter on sadists. I ventured some two pages into the chapter, and that was two pages too many. Obviously, this type of sadist has NOTHING to do with BDSM. |

Aedh Rua (Paisley, Florida) - Email Me The Australian Church of Antioch would appear to be Christian. Their website bills them as "Catholicism with a modern outlook". This would suggest that Robin Fletcher is exploring options other than Paganism or witchcraft. If that is true, then it would seem unlikely that we would or should be associated with him, especially given the strong stand taken against his crimes and claims by so many Pagans in Australia. |

We all have heard the stories of children being sexually abused in several religions.
