'Witches, Possessed' Flock To Kenya Pastor

Author: David McKenzie   Source: CNN

Title: 'WITCHES, POSSESSED' FLOCK TO KENYA PASTOR

On one Sunday each month Pastor Lawrence Omambia, the lead preacher at the Community of Christ church in Kisii, Kenya, shows off his gift -- healing and exorcism.

From early morning the faithful trickle into his church on the outskirts of town, coming from across the district hoping this Christian pastor can exorcise their pagan demons.

"They come for prayers to be released from the powers of witchcraft," says Omambia, who was excommunicated from the Catholic church more than a decade ago for emphasizing the occult.

But in Western Kenya the belief in the supernatural is far deeper and the line between Christianity and the occult is thin at best.

Many here believe that witches, night-runners brandishing flaming torches, and evil spirits populate the night.

And lynch mobs often attack accused witches. A particularly gruesome incident occurred near Kisii in late May. Fifteen people, mostly elderly women, were murdered in a witch-hunt.

Not Mere Hypocrisy; Crime Of Genocide Nov 12th. at 11:38:19 am EST

How convenient that this "love thy neighbor in Jeezus' name" Pentecostal predator has his favorite hole-ly bibble verse, "For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord"- Deuteronomy 18:9-12. IOW, hate or kill anyone I say because I say so, in the excommunicated Catholic tradition of Papal doctrine for those who aren't allowed to think for themselves.

Once Bush lite and his former cabal, and a few other mass murderers around the world are addressed (including all of us USA-ians who financially supported or voted in politicians to perpetrate our illegal wars and genocide campaigns) , perhaps this kind of dangerous predator preacher could rise up the list for arrest and conviction for the crime of Genocide, as defined by UN based international law:

Using an unruly mob of 100 with torches and knives to kill off 5 school teachers accused of witchcraft? Sounds like a reliable plan, as the odds are the intended parties will become dead, and the preacher behind those tactics can then have even more fervent support by the mob members who he guided through an experience of communal violence, in the name of Jeezus. All the more reason some so-called churches need to be shut down as criminal organizations.

As to those "evil spirits to come out now in the name of Jesus," what are they doing in the flock's heads in the first place, under their dogma, unless Jeezus or his daddy put them there? Oh, what a great way to induce schizoid or full psychotic splits, rather than teach people life skills that won't create a sick codependence.

Perhaps on a lower budget, that's the same type of cult manipulation formula commonly used by US politicians, cutrate talk show hosts on radio or TV, and hate mongering preachers. Whether by causing a real problem like crime via laws that predictably result in black markets, or boogie men and demons like gays, commies, or whatever sells that era, induce serious dysphoria in the masses. Then issue rallying cries and promises to fix the problem. Finally, offer remedies to the dysphoria most victims are too clueless to recognize you as having caused in the first place, if only you vote for me, call and boost ratings making a jerk of yourself on-air, or call our free prayer line now, Mastercard and Visa accepted.

to the nut-house, Not only a shameful exploitation of the poor ignorant souls that are undoubtedly paying this crooked pastor to go to church. But even the writing in report is biassed.

OMG I hate the way CNN wrote this article! Am I the only one?

It's like blah blah blah, everyone loves this preacher, blah blah blah. Oh by the way, they have rats. blah blah. Aren't they great? Everyone loves this preacher, he is so great.

Except the part that is so causually mentioned isn't a rat problem - but a problem with KILLING people - old women and children being lynched as witches by mobs.

Oh and then end it on a positive note for the preacher!

WTH kind of reporting is THIS?
