Oz Muslim Students Bully 11-Year-Old Kid For Eating A Salami Sandwich

Author: ANI   Source: Yahoo

Title: OZ MUSLIM STUDENTS BULLY 11-YEAR-OLD KID FOR EATING A SALAMI SANDWICH

A Sydney couple has withdrawn their two children from a public primary school because Muslim students bullied their 11-year-old son for eating a salami sandwich during Ramadan.

Andrew Grigoriou said on Thursday that he complained to the school and to police after his son Antonios was chased and later assaulted by Muslim students after a confrontation over the contents of his lunch.

who just happens to be muslim and if her kids where caught doing something like this, they would be in such deep trouble. To say these kids did this just because they where muslim is almost funny. I can remeber being bullied by a vegen classmate for eating meat. Do I think ALL vegens are like that? Of course not. Like one person already posted bullies always find something to pick on kids about.

I Wonder... Nov 14th. at 11:06:13 am EST

if this really is just a case of just plain bullying. That the muslim kids just targeted the 11-year old and his meat sandwich as an excuse just to torment him. As a kid, I was a victim of bullies, and from my experiences, bullies look for any reason at all to torture their victims. I remember one time, I was teased over and over because I couldn't eat meat on Fridays during Lent (I grew up catholic.) Now should I have claimed relgious discrimination? No, it just the bullies picking apart their victim.

I don't like religious discrimination. And we've all seen and heard it a lot lately. The Ft. Hood shootings, the Iraqi father who ran over his daughter, and others, have got people out there saying and believing the all Muslim are evil. It's not true, but it's become a way for accepting the bullying of Muslims.

I was taught in religion classes as kid that Witches worship Satan. How many Pagans are bullied because others are taught that?

Try Hog Farming, And Then Jain Diet Nov 14th. at 9:51:31 am EST

Terry (Irvington, Virginia) - Email Me

Perhaps these Muslim bullies could use a little diversity training, along with a requirement that their parents participate too as a condition of the kids remaining in school?

Two weeks working on a hog farm might make them think twice before acting like bullies again, though it might not leave them wanting any pork products. Go from there to two weeks on a Jain diet, that's far beyond vegan and limited to mostly fruits, as Jains extend a view of sentience similar to that of many Buddhists to an extreme, considering plants to be sentient and eating vegetables that kill bearer plants to be harvested as equivalent to murder.

Then, require the bullies to each write a 10,000 word paper with full citations about the range of dietary practices, both routine and special event related, of at least 30 world religions and cultures. Include in that assignment a section on how their views of food and religions have changed as a result of the hog farm and Jain diet experiences, as well as from studying other religions and cultures.

Had To Be Locked Inside The Library For An Hour? Nov 14th. at 9:08:38 am EST

"said he and a friend had to be locked inside the library for an hour after being chased by a group of Muslim boys offended by his choice of food while they were fasting, The Daily Telegraph reports"

Had to be? Now why would that be? I'm not sure but I have a pretty good guess!

Maybe They Should All Be Served Salami... Nov 13th. at 8:21:02 pm EST

They would be raising the roof if someone dared to offer them that same sandwich. I beileve the roof should be raised for them trying to force him not to eat his lunch because they don't like it.
And after that, I would be eating salami every day, not just because I like it, which I do, but because it would tick them off and send a message that they do not have the right to tell me what I can and cannot eat.

I was a vegetarian in school, and I never hassled anyone for eating meat. I'm still a vegetarian, and I don't cross that line. Those kids would be mortified if someone tried to force them to eat ham, so where do they get off?

Seriously, I have to wonder. I’m not suggesting Canada is perfect, but I practically never hear about this type of thing happening here.

The Muslim Canadian Congress even signed a statement of *support* for Same-Sex Marriage back when it was being debated by parliament. [Web LINK]

Maybe they need more diversity training and school programs aimed to teach students the meaning of tolerance? They have a lot of those in Canadian schools.

I remember a while back a group of Muslims wanted to remove their children from the Diversity Program during a discussing about homosexuals. As a result, the Premier (Governor) of Ontario met with their leaders and appealed on the evening News to let their children remain. He actually explained the program quite well; it isn’t about teaching other people are ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, or that certain beliefs are ‘better’ or ‘worse’, but rather simply acknowledging the existence of these facets within our society. Just as we are different to them, they are different to us. Whatever private beliefs we have or are taught are our own and nobody is suggesting we change them, all we are trying to do is foster an environment of tolerance for all people to feel safe in. (I’m paraphrasing.)

In the end only a few parents removed their kids.

I was hassled at a Pizza Hut by a muslim customer I was also a customer. Where do they get off pushing their diet on us? My religion says that it is not OK to hassle others. I was too nice to them and have regretted it ever since.

...and our religions or lack thereof are completely blameless and that all Pagan, Heathen, and atheist children are always so well behaved in school. But of course our perfection, and the fact that somebody else somewhere was antagonistic to someone FIRST frees us of that blame.

I mean, clearly it's the religion's fault, and not the fault of bratty lunchroom bullies being obnoxious little snots. Surely if these bullies weren't poisoned by their religion, then they would never find some other reason ever act like outrageous jerks or start fights in the lunchroom. That kind of thing just doesn't happen!

And of course the lunchroom monitors, staff and faculty of the school can't be blamed for allowing these unruly monsters to get out of control and cause such disruption as a child being locked in a library for an hour (an HOUR?

Where was the kids' teachers? Where was the principal? Where was the librarian?) Surely no supervision of schoolchildren in a lunchroom could ever be foreseen as necessary. Schoolchildren in lunchrooms are always such perfect angels!

It's quite clear then: lunchroom bullying is caused by Islam. Let's go to war and take our oil back from underneath their sand!

is that if he'd hit one of them with his lunch while defending himself, the Muslim family would probably sue the school for putting their kid in contact with a food not halal, even though their little darlings were the ones that started it.

I don't know how hard "live and let live" is to translate, but it really seems like someone should get on it.
