Retired Policeman Speaks In Farmville On Occult

Author: Jeremy Slayton   Source: Richmond Times-Dispatch (VA)

Title: RETIRED POLICEMAN SPEAKS IN FARMVILLE ON OCCULT

Juggalos, Wiccans, Satanists and vampires are all subcultures of the occult that are on the periphery of the mainstream.

Don Rimer, a retired member of the Virginia Beach Police Department who studies ritual crime and the occult, spoke yesterday about these cultures and ritual crime to about 100 people at Farmville United Methodist Church.

"This is all about education. This is awareness and recognition about all of these behaviors, and the crimes associated with them," Rimer said, although he was quick to point out that not all people associated with Satanism and the occult are violent criminals.

What makes me mad is when he gets paid in a govt. context to talk his drivel.

Insane Clown Posse....Really? Nov 17th. at 1:29:28 pm EST

Silver Amythyst (Gonzales, California) - Email Me

I had no idea what a juggelo was until this article. Shows what kind of impact this band has. I am a huge death metal fan, a great outlet for relieving stress. Come on, Insane Clown Possee.... really? If you are going to pick on someone for being a Satanist try Marilyn Manson, he is actually part of The Church of Satan. Plus he's more popular. Insane Clown Posse??? Didn't know they were still making music. This person really needs to keep up with the music trends if they really want to pick on a band or genre of music. If you'll excuse me Slayer is on XM Radio now, my demons want to come out and dance.

How....nice...of You, Mr. Rimer Nov 17th. at 6:34:13 am EST

Lumping Wicca, fans of an unpopular music group, and Satanism all together under the blanket term "the occult."

Never mind that the word "occult" has an unpleasant meaning to most Christians, or that the three groups mentioned have almost nothing to do with each other.

No, these groups are minority groups, entered into willingly. So that must obviously mean that they're committing ritual murders.

If there is a Hell, then there is likely a special place in it for those who tell lies about other peoples' religions.

This Rimer fellow should not be listened to at all, at any time. He is not of the Body.

Landru has spoken.

Mr Rimes Gets Several Mentions In The Witch Hunts Nov 16th. at 5:22:32 pm EST

Arie Willow (Sydney, New South Wales) - Email Me

For anyone who dosn't know Don Rimes gets several mentions in the Witch Hunts Essays on this site. He appears to be an old had at making up, I mean investigating cases of ritual and satanic crime.

Yet Another Person Who Just Doesnt Get It Nov 16th. at 4:55:48 pm EST

Wespennest (Arlington, Virginia) - Email Me

Juggalos are the annoying fans of the equally annoying rap group Insane Clown Posse. Furthermore, ICP's songs feature christian themes, their members are devout christians and they repeatedly urge their fans to find christ and jesus. They're in no way related to "the occult." Sheesh.
