A Ticket From Satanism To Holiness

Author: Gwan Garrison Source: Baptist Press

Title: A TICKET FROM SATANISM TO HOLINESS
In 1994, power and money were my gods. Good, bad or indifferent, that's the way it was. I had given the devil my heart and would do whatever I felt he wanted me to do to get what I wanted out of life.
I was living the good life in California with my wife Judy and two daughters but was searching for purpose and meaning. That's when I met a practicing witch, who was one of the office supervisors where I worked as the department head. She served under me and we quickly struck up a professional relationship.
The witch and I were on the same material wavelength and she taught me how to cast spells, how to discern the future, how to influence people and have power over them. I was moving up the ranks and wanted that to continue as long as possible, so (the witch's abilities) really appealed to me. That's how I became involved in Satanic worship.

I believe that he is making every single bit of this up. I don't believe for one minute that he was even a wanna be Witch. He's just trying to stimulate business, that's all. The story about getting together with the coworker and enjoying persecuting Christians is telling. We all know that, while this may happen among Pagans, that it is not what we are about normally. A Christian may very well believe that this is a main component of our lives, especially if they had never met a Witch/Pagan. They will automatically assume that we denigrate them at every opportunity. Remember, some of them really do think that our sole purpose it to destroy Christianity. That is why I don't think he even dabbled. It's not just that one part of his story, it's all of it together that leads me to believe that he was never aquainted with a Witch. He couldn't possibly have had an association with one, and know so little. This goes for the other story posted on Witchvox. Made up out of the whole cloth would be my opinion.

Just the kind of TRIPE Fundies eat up!!!!!
The same old "I had the world in the palm of my hand with everything that I wanted, but then gave it all up FER JAYZUS" manufactured story.
Any honest Pagan/Witch/Wiccan knows this male bovine excrement is nothing but propaganda for the Fundies.

My, what a moving testimonial! Especially about that part where he had to pick up the satanic bible with a pair of tongs in order to dispose of it! Well, at least he's happy-and back where he belongs. If his story has any bit of truth to it, which is doubtful, He was never really a witch at all-he was only just a jerk wannabe. And his nasty attitude didn't come from any brush with Satanic means. He was that way before hand-and -now if a witch showed up at his workplace- You can bet he wouldn't hesitate to be that way again and worse. especially if she resists conversion. Sounds like the usual load of horse-hockey these "testimonials" are filled with.

He doesn't even know witches are not satanists - only renegade christians worship the christian devil because only christians believe in him at all. Where did he get a satanic bible anyway? I guess there must be one somewhere.
He was not a good candidate for being a witch anyway since the wholesale hating and nasty attitude toward christians he worked with - (denying them vacation days and trying to get them fired is not ok for anyone) is not very witch-like and very bad for one's karma.
Stupid story, but what can you expect from the Baptist press.

ive said it before and ill say it again.. just because you say your a witch doesnt make you a Witch..
only one part of this story bothered me...
"I was moving up the ranks and wanted that to continue as long as possible, so (the witch's abilities) really appealed to me. That's how I became involved in Satanic worship."
well at least he admitted it was Satanic.. (unno myself dont know a Satanist) .. and not Witchcraft that did it..
sooner or later they will grasp the concert that being Pagan in general is much harder to do.. you know the whole.. harm none bit.. if you think about it.. that effects (affects?) every part of our lives... harm none even applies to the Xtains... as much as I would LOVE to stop reading this bullocks.. I know there is nothing I can do other then.. let them be.. and feel pity for them... if Mother and Father were that mean to me... wouldnt that push me away from the religion.. but alas Mother and Father have been and continue to be amazing for me.. when im feeling down .. I can simply go out in the yard with my bare feet and let it all go.. but then again .. are Church is a bit bigger then theirs.. maybe thats why they dont like us? We find the divine everywhere.. they only find the define in church.. and who ever heard of a Sunday Witch (a witch only one day a week) .. something that just doesnt work for us.. we are held accountable for our actions.. if we do something bad.. we pay the price.. they just go to chuch and pray and their God forgives them.. but that doesnt stop them from being bad the next monday.. our moral code prevents us.. I think the next time a Xtain person tries to convert me ill tell them.. sorry love.. but im already at peace with the world... and close the door.. maybe they will realize that trying to convert me is pointless? hopefully...

Quote: "Today I tell Christians this earthly battle is about the flesh versus the spirit. Whatever is fed becomes stronger. We choose daily who we will serve, who will be our master."
In my tantric and pagan personnal studies I've found that Nature is the manifest Goddess. The flesh or maya shakti is not bad and too much spirit is not always necessarily good, as I have seen people that claimed spirituality but did not manifest it in concrete reality and so were "in the clouds"... (Shiva is a cadaver without Shakti... the God is dead without the ever living Goddess!) . The manichean dichotomy is one of our greatest plague. That is why this religion keep people into fear of not being saved.
And my personnal opinion is that if anybody has a master he is a slave, an no longer a free being, no care about his faith. Friends are a better approach about free spiritual love. Maybe I could say that Christ is my friend but never my master (hehehehe) I still respect Christians for what they are even if I am no more baptist. But they secretly hated me all the time I were with them, called me the witch and all that silly stuff...

I (insert name here) was a (witch/satanist/baby killing devil worshipper) (insert name of a general evil doer) until a loving caring kind coworker, neighbor, friend, my dog (insert example of shining upstanding Christian soul) prayed and prayed for me all through my deluded evil days and now I am a godfearing man/woman/child who has found God...and as for me and mine we now serve (insert title) The Lord -God Jehovah God Almighty ...
This piece of -art- uses the same template for thousands of these kinds of stories- I was deluded and lured into witchcraft=satanism- pieces of fiction..
What did he say this evil witch/satanist did..."she taught me how to cast spells, how to discern the future." Yeah you can see the evil there can't you...She taught him how to take responsibility for his life and ways to make it work for the better... Oh wait what else... "how to influence people and have power over them." Self empowerment is a big issue with a lot of folks...it seems There is more... "I was moving up the ranks" There are ranks! I want ranks! I've been a practicing, spell casting, dancing under the moon witch for upwards of well 40 years - how come I don't get ranks....! ? I actually asked this question once of fundamentalist friend once and their answer was that I just wasn't into IT enough yet, I wasn't in the inner circle yet (40 years) ...I asked him If I had to fill out an application? How exactly do I get on the inner circle mailing list.of prospective wannabeees {x -.> He was a little vague after that... Did anybody get to the part with the evil cat... (Bwaaahhhaaa) who made sounds this guy had never heard before after he became a fundamentalist...I'm betting the cat was thinking - aww crap not another of these crazies - better hide the silverware and the small need to saved children...I'd be growling too... Finally Lets us not forget the using of brooms like chopsticks to pick up a bible and toss it out... (I have had that urge too) . It your HOLY book folks... And of course at the end the evil went away - left - was fired -was swallowed in a giant nameless pit of anoyimity where no one could [possibly be traced to verify any of this hooy - I mean this account of pure evil.... -Snicker- Okay I'll stop....there are fundamentalists I have yet to corrupt and seduce today...busy busy busy!

The cat was my favorite part of this --
After he was saved, and was tossing out his demon-stuff, Eric the Possessed cat glowered up at him with glowing, hate-filled eyes. But then weeks later, the familiar demon must have left kitty 'cuz he was cuddly again.

this is just a rehashing of an old i got involved with satanists story that directs the main character to become selfish and thus spiraling downward to hell on earth. persecuting christians is a common theme of the bad satanist stories. they inevitably hit a personal bottom and it just so happens that they come to christ by a sheer coincedence by reading a bible verse, a person of christian faith demonstrating total selflessness or some other christian thing like walking into a revival by mistake and leaving a christian, etc. if' you read these stories, they almost always have a coming to christ ending. the facts about the bible suddenly appear. i think kerr cuhulain does a good job of dispelling the suburban myths of these stories. why would a witch and a satanist work together? probably not. they have different set of goals in life. are we talking about blood sucking satanist or an existentialist? why does the satanist always have to go down the road of selfishness and power and persecute christians. these stories are all christian repeats with the stories changing in name but not in structure. i saw a million of these in my sixteen years of baptist church attendence. i'm glad i don't have to go over it anymore. i've moved on to more interesting and important things. please don't get me wrong, within the church structure, these stories help people to keep focused on the good and giving life many christians live. i just don't buy the propaganda anymore now that i'm out of the club. these stories are everywhere, in every culture. doing bad gets you bad, doing good begets good. oh wait a minute, i believe we have a saying, an it harm none,,,satanist and witches lead perfectly normal healthy lives. some are good, some are bad. some have problems, some have great lives of beauty and sacrifice. too bad they can't see this. i like all kinds of people. this kind of story is exclusionary.
